Cartier present its latest novelties which will be unveiled during Watches and Wonder this week.
Throughout its history, the Tank watch has undergone a remarkable transformation and its lines have evolved. Created in 1922, the Tank Louis Cartier is the successor to the original Tank, known as the Tank
Normale, whose design Louis Cartier reworked just five years after its inception.
The case is elongated, the brancards are refined, the angles softened, and the choice of the rectangular shape is embraced.
Now, The Brand has drawn on this design to imagine a larger version featuring a next-generation mechanical Manufacture movement with automatic winding.
Integrated while respecting the lines and proportions of the Tank, this movement, named 1899 MC, allows for the enlargement of the Tank Louis Cartier, available in both rose gold and yellow gold.
