for the opening concert ‘A riveder le stelle’ by Riccardo Chailly held at the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, the following artists chose to wear Giorgio Armani:

Marianne Crebassa chose a Giorgio Armani Privé red gown with bodice with all-over sequin and crystal embroidery and flounced tulle skirt with crinoline, and a Giorgio Armani black silk velvet gown with tonal embroidered details and embroidered fringe sleeves.

Lisette Oropesa chose to wear a Giorgio Armani Privé evening gown in black polka dot lamé tulle with all-over bead and crystal embroidery.

Kristine Opolais chose to wear a Giorgio Armani black silk velvet gown with plunging sweetheart neckline embroidered with tonal crystals, matched with a tulle cape with all-over embroidery.

Vittorio Grigolo chose to wear a Giorgio Armani black wool tailcoat.

Milly Carlucci, presenter of the opening night, chose to wear a Giorgio Armani tuxedo.

In addition, prima ballerinas Nicoletta Manni, Martina Arduino and Virna Toppi, principals Timofej Andrijashenko and Claudio Coviello and soloists Maro Agostino and Nicola Del Freo chose to wear Giorgio Armani outfits during the evening, and stage costumes for the performance.

“There’s a strong connection between Milan and La Scala that I can’t think of one without the other. At the end of the War the opera house was rebuilt straightaway without any doubts or hesitation. It symbolises intellectual resistance, also shown today in the decision to open the season, on the traditional evening of Saint Ambrose, Milan’s Patron Saint which marks the city calendar, with a live TV broadcast. I consider this performance to be a date not to be missed and that I will enjoy from home, but still with the same interest in the fascinating world of music that we are invited to experience”, said Giorgio Armani.
