MEDUSA INFINITE SKELETON
The undisputed protagonist of these exclusive timepieces, of which only a thousand numbered pieces have been made, is the Medusa head floating between two crystals. After its debut with the La Medusa spring collection, this feature was reprised for the F/W season in the Medusa Infinite, which features a two-tier dial with a radial Greca pattern cut out of the top level.
In this Limited Edition, on the other hand, the Greca pattern remains on the inner ring of the skeleton dial, but without the radials. The parts of the automatic movement can therefore be seen clearly from both the front and the back of the 40 mm case.
STUD ICON
Versace builds on the enduring success of its jewelry timepieces with Stud Icon, a new line of women’s watches combining Swiss Made precision with sophisticated design and exquisite detailing. An evolution of Medusa Secret, the successful model from last winter’s collection, this new women’s watch makes a bolder show of its functionality and adds an extra millimeter to its case. The black dial version has six diamond indexes for even more impact.
The La Greca motif—alluding to the brand’s roots‑is lasered on the top ring with a sophisticated “now you see it, now you don’t” effect. The result is perfectly in line with the style of Versace’s clothing and accessories collections for Fall-Winter 2022, which embody a sensual and sophisticated femininity that is also strong and emancipated.
WE LOVE DIAMONDS
Versace’s We love diamonds capsule collection for Fall-Winter 2022 meets the demand for precious watches that have the dual function of timepiece and jewelry. The “jewelry watch” is in fact a centuries-old tradition, and the Milan-based brand has decided to ride the revival by putting diamonds on the indexes, top ring and/or inner ring of five models launched in the last two seasons.
In detail, the two La Medusa timepieces—best-sellers last spring—have been adorned with 164 or 60 diamonds on the dial’s inner ring or on the indexes and feature a 3D Medusa head floating between two crystals. The watch’s strong identity is also underscored by the Roman numerals cut into the inner ring around the dial.
