The Nautilus Maldives has introduced new wellness programs to their Solasta Spa this month, taking its already premier treatments to an entirely new level. With restrictions stretching out for months and even years, the stresses of the pandemic have certainly taken a toll on physical and mental health. And it’s with this in mind that The Nautilus’ Solasta Spa and the French heritage brand Maison Caulières have launched a new extravagant spa experience, combining the French sensibilities with the ultra-luxe bohemian spirit of Solasta Spa treatments to offer first of its kind ritualistic therapies featuring revitalizing body treatments and massages. The Nautilus is the only resort in the Maldives to feature all-natural artisanal products from this 250-year-old family-owned beauty brand.
The experience itself will begin with a luxury yacht ride to a secluded bank at sunset. On warm sands guests will be whisked away with their first treatment inspired by the Maldivian tradition of exfoliating beach sand massage. Solasta Spa’s expert therapist will utilize Maison Caulières’s sugar scrub infused with signature oils, so guests can see and feel their restorative powers for themselves. The scrub will be rinsed off with a dip in the warm Indian Ocean and then followed by an ultra-hydrating body wrap. The spa journey will continue with a subtly scented body misting to prepare the skin for pièce de resistance: a full body treatment fusing Maison Caulières’s signature massage with local muscle-relieving concoctions that will utilize pure French oil blends ranging from detoxing Vitamined Oil and comforting Protective Oil to Relaxing Oil and Toning Oil, to encourage deep physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Following the treatment, guests will be invited to enjoy gourmet French infusions and local treats including a selection of warm herbal beverages, Maldivian sea almond cake and coconut honey cookies made with sunflower honey from Maison Caulières, honey hand-harvested from their own beehives. The final wind-down, upon returning to the island, will include a candlelit bathing ritual enhanced by the fragrance from Maison Caulières scented candle. Afterward the skin will be revived and the mind relaxed.
For anyone wishing to heal, restore balance, and embrace holistic wellbeing, The Nautilus will present their guests with a unique opportunity to experience Ayurveda based wellness treatments curated by Ananda for The Nautilus as part of their long-term partnership. The retreat is bringing Mr. Sudheesh VV, a senior trainer and Ayurveda expert at Ananda in the Himalaya to The Nautilus from August 30 to September 4, for an exclusive six-day ‘Taste of Ayurveda’ program to conduct Ayurvedic treatments, guided sessions in yoga, meditation and present Ananda’s gourmet wellness cuisine. During Sudheesh’s time at The Nautilus, guests can discover one of the unique Ayurvedic treatments: “Ananda Moksha” — a full body massage which uses traditional Ayurvedic therapeutic techniques used for thousands of years in India to promote a feeling of complete rest, repair and rejuvenation.
