During the festive season, when the comfort of gathering with loved ones is now more important
than ever, The Nautilus Maldives, the award-winning, ultra-luxury private island resort, is
extending a warm invitation to all to rediscover family traditions. Celebrate a heart-warming
festive season with an array of special events and uniquely festive experiences, with an
abundance of opportunities to create magical holiday moments.
To fully embrace the holiday spirit, from 19 December, 2022, The Nautilus Maldives will be
decorated in bohemian Christmas ornaments. A Christmas tree and Santa’s Workshop including
a gingerbread house full of delicious goodies will be on the island to add to the holiday feel.
A scheduled Christmas choir will carol on the 24 and 25 December around Naiboli Bar to entertain
guests and welcome Santa on 25 December to the island.
The resort’s restaurants and bars invite guests to indulge in the magical moments of the holidays
through a range of festive menus while bonding and sharing the season’s joy with family and
loved ones. Zeytoun, the signature overwater restaurant, showcases the best of Mediterranean
and Middle-Eastern flavours, and will host a pop-up truffle promotion, with a different menu
explored each week. Thyme and Naiboli poolside lounge will present a spread of oysters and
caviar throughout the period, serving as a taster. On top of it all, Zeytoun’s upper-deck lounge
will offer tastings of epicurean delicacies such as G&T, whiskey (old world vs new world), cheese
and wine and finest chocolate. Ocaso, known for its al-fresco grill and seafood fare, will feature
a dining experience that will entertain guests with live handpan music.
In these challenging times, celebrating the holidays with friends and family feels especially
meaningful – and The Nautilus’ enchanting, time-honored festive traditions allow guests to truly
savour the season and create precious memories together. For our younger guests; The Young
Wonderers programme includes themed arts and crafts like Christmas Tree ornament making,
baking, candy cane hunting and entertainment by a bubble maker upon Santa’s arrival. During the
gala dinners, the children and teens can enjoy their own discos and Christmas movies under the
stars. The celebrations will continue with a Maldivian Christmas Market featuring a lacquer artist,
boduberu lessons and boho-style crafting.
On New Year’s Eve, Thyme Beach will be transformed into an entertainment centre. With a
“Bohemian Dreaming” theme, guests can have fun with family and friends and welcome the year
2023 with a beachside New Year’s Eve gala dinner with live chef stations, band and DJ, complete
with a grand fireworks display.
