Bil Arabi celebrates 20 years of creativity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to Arab identity. What began as a bold mission to challenge perceptions of the Arab world has evolved into a powerful form of storytelling, expressed through fine jewelry and the timeless beauty of Arabic calligraphy. Founded in 2006 by Nadine Kanso, Bil Arabi is a love letter to Arab culture, language, and self-expression.
The brand was born from Nadine’s desire to tell authentic Arab stories and honour her heritage. This vision first took shape in 2006, when Nadine was invited to participate in Arabize Me, an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. There, she presented Meen Ana, a striking body of work featuring individuals from across the Arab world holding cards inscribed with gold Arabic calligraphy. By spotlighting Arabs from varied backgrounds, she celebrated individuality while honouring a shared cultural heritage rooted in pride and belonging.
Inspired by the exhibition’s impact, Nadine translated her artistic language into a tangible, wearable form, merging her background in graphic design with precious metals and stones. This marked the birth of Bil Arabi as a jewelry house rooted in meaning, emotion, and cultural pride. Today, Bil Arabi is recognised as one of the Middle East’s most authentic luxury jewelry brands, worn by cultural icons around the world.
