Madrid will once again take centre stage as the fashion capital, hosting Madrid es Moda and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid — two flagship events that are integral to the Madrid Capital de Moda programme promoted by Madrid City Council.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID with support from Madrid City Council, will celebrate its 40th anniversary from 17 to 21 September as a major reference for Spanish fashion
For five days, Madrid will be packed with creativity and talent with a programme that will unfold in various venues around the city, as well as in Hall 14.1 of IFEMA MADRID, the epicentre of the event. This edition will feature the participation of around 40 designers, including established names and emerging new talents, as well as the return of major figures. All of this is based on the key pillars that define this fashion week: talent, industry, internationalisation, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
The 40th anniversary of MBFWMadrid will mark the beginning of a new chapter, with a revamped programme spanning several main sections: the OFF Shows, which will kick off on 17 September featuring international guest designer Silvia Tcherassi, along with Palomo, Pedro del Hierro, Adolfo Domínguez, and Simorra; and the Showcases held at various locations across Madrid, featuring brands like Juan Vidal and Erroz.
On the afternoon of 17 September, designers Félix Ramiro, Pilar Dalbat, and Rafael Urquízar will also present their collections at different venues throughout Madrid, culminating in the day’s events with the proposals from Juan Vidal and Erroz, who will showcase their latest designs in Showcase format. In the run-up to the activity in the city, on Monday, 15 September, the UDIT show, by the University of Design, Innovation and Technology, will be held.
