The Japanese concept Ikigai has been the starting point for Adolfo Domínguez ‘s new artistic proposal for the autumn-winter 2024 season. As an invitation to go in search of life’s purpose, the fashion brand presents a collection designed to liberate oneself. In the collection’s preview, the designer brand collaborates with the model Laura Ponte.
Ikigai has its origins in the Ágora Creative Laboratory, of which all the designers of the Adolfo Domínguez group form part. The result is a collection designed to be lived, with clothes created to make people understand that beauty and happiness lie in the little things.
Japanese culture, from which the Ikigai concept stems, is embodied in prints and signature pieces with no shortage of crumpled fabrics, ruffles and asymmetrical cuts. With relaxed silhouettes and volumes from the pattern, neutral tones contrast with bright colours that come together in light and versatile garments conceived to last beyond fashions.
The brand has showcased Ikigai, its autumn-winter 2024 collection, in a global fashion show in Chile.
