“When I hear stories from travellers and where they have been, it takes me on a journey,” says Nanako Ogi, the perfumer behind OJAR’s Routes Nomades.
Wandering the intricate streets of Oman’s spice markets, she was inspired by the ingredients that would one accompany the frankincense in Routes Nomades.
“Perfume ingredients are also travellers. In the Dhofar mountains, the frankincense harvest is a tale from the nomads and their heritage: crafting leather, trading spices. A spirit that inspired me to put together with frankincense the sharp refinement of ginger and cardamom on one side, and the majestic signature of a young leather on the other. An everlasting journey to let the senses wander.”
The perfume realizes as a warm incense, on a leather vetyver synergy.
