For JW Anderson’s Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2023 Collection, the namesake designer collaborated with his childhood hero Michael Clark, legendary Scottish choreographer and dancer, to showcase bold and avant-garde fashion.
The collection featured exaggerated shapes, structured jackets, tailored trousers, and oversized blazers that were given an edgy upgrade with bright colours and intricate details. The focus on textures and fabric manipulation in the form of sheer fabrics, cut-outs, and voluminous silhouettes created an overall look of modern femininity down the runway.
The AW23 collection incorporated subtle references to Jonathan Anderson’s Irish heritage and vision for the future of fashion.
