Michael Kors is pleased to share the 2022 Lunar New Year campaign, which celebrates the Year of the Tiger in bold fashion.
According to tradition, the Year of the Tiger honors the courageous and dashing, reflected in this year’s campaign through a special tiger motif designed exclusively for Michael Kors by Chinese illustrator Ji WeiRan.
Featuring striking brushstrokes and rich colors, the tiger is seen throughout the campaign as the backdrop for our specially curated Lunar New Year products. From the Greenwich crossbody rendered in an all-over sequin Signature logo design to matching slingback shoes and our iconic Signature logo Hamilton bag with red trim, the edit has everything you need to ring in the New Year in style.
This year’s money envelopes, inspired by the brand’s Lunar New Year products, feature the Signature logo print in rich red hues. For a memorable touch, the envelopes are housed in special packaging designed to resemble classic jewelry boxes, reusable for celebrations to come. Ji WeiRan has a rich history with the Michael Kors brand, beginning with his appearance in the first-ever MK My Way campaign in 2020. Ji’s WeiRan tiger design can be found throughout the 2022 Lunar New Year campaign and is also brought to life in animated videos.
