At the end of the War the opera house was rebuilt straightaway without any doubts or hesitation. It symbolises intellectual resistance, also shown today in the decision to open the season, on the traditional evening of Saint Ambrose, Milan’s Patron Saint which marks the city calendar, with a live TV broadcast. I consider this performance to be a date not to be missed and that I will enjoy from home, but still with the same interest in the fascinating world of music that we are invited to experience”, said Giorgio Armani.
